[Internet] Sick of Rogers up-sell false information

Got several calls from Rogers outbound and I answered two of them. Both calls claimed that I am on a legacy plan and the new offer is going to offer me better speed plus TV service a bonus. When I answered the first call I thought I was still on the 500 (or 250?) plan. However after I declined it I checked and I am currently on the Gigabit plan. Anyway, the second call today told me the same thing today that I am on the 150 (?). I asked her if she's sure that I am on 150. She double checked and realized I am on the Gigabit. Then she said she can still offer me the deal but of course it is going to be more expensive than what I am paying now, since it includes the TV service. She claimed that I will be getting a new modem and I will be getting faster speed with no disconnection. lol I knew that's not true so I asked her how is the offer going to be better if I need to pay more. She said because the new plan is Ignite. I said so that's just the name and they both say Gigabit. She then said I will be getting a new modem, so I asked what's the difference between the modems. She replied with something about my current modem only has two XXXXXXX (couldn't catch the term, something I have never heard of) and the new one got 16. It also offers better wifi. After I have declined her offer and hung up, I double checked my current internet package name. It's the same as the in-market one, except the rep said "Gigabyte" instead of "Gigabit". I am posting hoping that other customers are aware of tricks that the reps may put on customers. For a regular customer one may fall into those false statements.
